Terms of Service
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms cover the Koza service at koza.cc. By creating a merchant account you agree to them.
The service
Koza is software for running an online store (catalog, checkout, orders, payouts, and a REST API). Payments are presented to buyers as Koza Payments — a white-label of the underlying processor, not a separate acquiring bank.
You are the merchant
Koza is not a Merchant of Record. You sell the goods or licenses. You are responsible for product descriptions, fulfillment, refunds, chargebacks, customer support, and for tax and VAT on your sales unless the processor expressly remits a specific tax on your behalf. Koza does not automatically collect or file tax for you.
Fees and payouts
Software is free to start — no card required to open a store. Successful charges are settled net of the Koza Payments fee described on Pricing (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per charge, matching the settlement ledger). Funds are held on a T+5 schedule before they are withdrawable in Admin → Payouts. Processor and network costs are not a separate 0% promise; the ledger fee is what is deducted.
Acceptable use
Do not use Koza for illegal goods, fraud, or to misrepresent who the seller is. We may suspend stores that abuse payments, spam, or put the platform at risk.
Accounts
You are responsible for credentials, API keys, and webhook endpoints. Keep secrets off public sites. You may close an account from admin; we may retain records needed for settlement, disputes, or law.
API and webhooks
Checkout Sessions settle through Koza Payments and fire checkout.session.completed. They do not create a storefront order unless your integration does. Fulfillment is your job.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant uninterrupted uptime or that a particular sale will settle. Liability is limited to fees you paid us for the service in the 30 days before a claim, to the extent the law allows.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after a posted change is acceptance. See also Privacy and Pricing.
